A while ago we echoed the documentary series prepared by the famous director Peter Jackson (The Lord of The Rings) for the new Disney platform with The Beatles and the 50th anniversary of the band’s last album, ‘Let It Be’, as protagonists, but we can already announce that this will not be the only celebration of such an important anniversary.

The launch of special editions and a new book will be added this fall to take us back to 1970. The October 15th It is the day marked for the launch of a series of special editions that are coming forward from today with three songs from the new remix which are accessed in the album presale: “Let it Be (2021Stereo Mix)”, “Don’t Let Me Down (First rooftp performance)” y “For You Blue (Get Back LP Mix)”.

Giles Martin and the engineer Sam Okell have been in charge of remixing ‘Let It Be’ in stereo, 5.1 Surround DTS and Dolby Atmos, following the series of expanded editions that have been arriving from ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’, ‘The Beatles’ (White Album), y ‘Abbey Road’.

The physical and digital edition in its version Super Deluxe It will also include 27 previously unreleased session recordings, the four-track EP ‘Let It Be’, and the 14 previously unreleased tracks from the ‘Get Back’ LP in a stereo mix compiled by engineer Glyn Johns in May ’69.

‘The Beatles: Get Back’ will be the title of Peter Jackson’s documentary series, in which we will find more than six hours of restored unpublished content. It will air in three episodes on Disney + on November 25, 26 and 27. The director himself presents a small preview.

In addition, we will also have the book under the same title as the series. This will come on October 15th, being the first official book published by The Beatles since the great success of ‘The Beatles Anthology’. Will be 240 pages between transcripts of conversations recorded in the three weeks of rehearsals and sessions, and photos of Ethan A. Russell o Linda McCartney. The prologue is in charge of Peter Jackson since the book and series complement each other.
