Mick Jagger and Keith Richards posted photos on social networks this Wednesday (08.25.2021) to remember their partner Charlie Watts, drummer of the Rolling Stones who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 80.

On Twitter and Instagram, Jagger shared a picture of a smiling Watts behind the drums, while Richards a photo of a drummer holding a “closed” sign.

The music world continues to pay tribute to the musician after his death is known in a London hospital, where he received medical attention at the beginning of the month.

Although the family has not said what the health problem of Watts was, the musician had been treated in 2004 for throat cancer at the Royal Marsden Hospital in the British capital.

Likewise, Watts was forced a few weeks ago to withdraw from the tour that the band will begin in the United States on September 26 in St Louis. The Rolling Stones also announced that Steve Jordan will replace Watts on the tour.
