Anne Bancroft, actress and film director, was born in The Bronx, New York, on September 17, 1931.
The daughter of a couple of Italian immigrants, Anne Bancroft was already training in acting and dance when she was not more than 4 years old; Later she studied at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Manhattan and in 1952, she made her film debut and began a career that was to make her one of the faces of classic Hollywood cinema.
Actress and film director, in her first years of profession, while waiting for the arrival of the role that would allow her to be noticed in an important way as an actress on the big screen, she chose to do theater and won the Tony Award; At last came roles at the height of his talent and, with them, the recognition and awards, the Bancroft received, focusing only on the great seventh art awards, an Oscar, two Golden Globes and three Bafta awards.

IN 2005, at the age of 73, Anne Bancroft became one of the women to whom uterine cancer won their lives and this was made public by her husband.
